Birth Doulas help women and their partners achieve the most optimal birth possible. They are your advocates, servants, helpers, educators, thought provokers, teammates, and protectors of your birth space. A Birth Doula is there to help you through the most difficult times of your pregnancy and ease you and your family into the new role you are facing. Whether you are planning to birth at a hospital (spontaneous vaginal delivery, induction, or c-section), birth center, or home, your Birth Doula will be there for you. All women deserve the loving care of a trusted Birth Doula.

Examples of comfort measures to assist you during childbirth:
- Assist you in positions that can alleviate discomfort and help labor progress
- Assist you into movements that can move labor along (dancing, swaying, walking)
- Healing touch, massage, counter-pressure
- Aromatherapy
- Visualization techniques
- Assist you in controlling your breathing to a steady pace that can help you to relax
- Assist you in vocalization to help labor progress (groans, singing, repetitive phrases, etc.)
- Use of Birth Ball
- Use of heat or ice to alleviate discomfort
- Use of hydrotherapy to alleviate discomfort (shower, bath tub)
- Continuous presence, total focus on mother
- Distraction away from discomfort through rituals and activities
- Encouragement, praise, helpful words
- Removes pressure to be constant off of your birth partner (e.i. the baby's father)
- When all attention shifts to the new baby, keeping constant attention on the mother
